ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Hearts for Homes was established in the spring of 2006, as a Christian-based outreach ministry to provide no-cost home repairs to low-income elderly homeowners in the Denton County area of Texas. Typical work includes painting, caulking, roofing, plumbing repairs, siding repairs and yard clean-up. Hearts for Homes coordinates with local agencies, churches, elderly service providers and community groups to identify low-income elderly homeowners in need of assistance. Hearts for Homes is an all-volunteer organization that relies upon our volunteers and the generous financial support of organizations, businesses and individuals in our communities. We are seeking partnerships with businesses, schools, service organizations and individuals to maximize the effectiveness of this outreach ministry. Donations of time (regardless of home repair skill level), money and materials are greatly appreciated. Join us as we reach out to the generation that made us possible! MISSION STATEMENT

Hearts for Homes is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established as a Christian outreach to provide assistance to the aging population in the areas of housing repair and housing rehabilitation, as well as meeting the needs of their everyday existence. Our goal is for the aging population to enjoy their latter years in a home that is well-functioning and comfortable.

PURPOSE STATEMENTS

To work together with other organizations and individuals to identify homeowners who are in need of assistance.
To seek and develop funding/donation resources.
To provide home repairs, rehabilitation, and/or construction to identified individuals/families through donated/volunteered/purchased services.
To provide oversight and accountability for funds raised, funds distributed, and results achieved.
To serve as a central resource for the recruitment, training, and deployment of volunteers.
To serve others as our Lord and Savior, Jesus, serves us.
